I'm surprised to see Montkaj in Monaco, is she in Siran's usual berth?

Wasn't she Phocea ? she was there for a while, now she has gone. Appart from her, I can't think of any other. 4 masts are quite rare. Or maybe Sea Cloud ?

TvergaardOne - It might have been one of these cruise ships which are 4 masted and are usually stationed in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. http://www.wwcruises.com/html/....html Regards

Maarten, if I understand you correctly about Montkaj lying in Siran's berth, you can see her on the webcam of SS Delphine. Siran is lying in her usual berth so Montkaj must be somewhere else. I think Montkaj changed her homeport from Antibes to Monaco because she is in Monaco for some weeks now and I'am sure the owners arent onboard.

Montkaj is lying on the Quay des Etats-Unis, some 20 meters from the chicane. By the way this berth was also used by Delphine last year...

Two big yachts were sold during the last weeks. The first one is the 62m Feadship Cakewalk now renamed Fortunato and the second is the 59m Oceanco Pegasus renamed Helios. Pegasus must have benn sold during the MYS.

Cakewalk was up for sale a little while, but not actively advertised as such. The first public indication that she was available was through the office of Edmiston during the MYS. It seems that she was snapped up rather quickly. However, in retrospect , it should have been clear that something was going on since her owner usually took her back to the States by the end of August, beginning of September and now she stayed on and on at the IYCA. It will be strange to see another name on this very impressive Van Lent yacht.

Still a busy brokerage market. The 50 mt Mosaique built in 2001 by Proteksan has been sold. Fortunately she is going to remain on the charter market. She is now heading towards Thailand for Christmas/New year. Princess Tanya, who is currently in Monaco, could be sold as well.

I saw the 1984 built "Van Triumph" ( 212 ft, 64.6m) at an advertisement of Simpsonmarine (she is not at the internetsite of Simpsonmarine). Is David Lieu getting a bigger yacht?

Van Triumph is indeed for sale at 12 million $. I am not aware of her replacement by another vessel. If so, it should be something quite nice as Van Triumph though not an handsome yacht has many unusual features and was among the first "expedition" type motoryacht.

The expedition type yacht "Giant I" is also available for sale (make a price over 50 million $ !!!). By the way, there is a small question: One article described "Giant" as a fully classified icebreaker of the highest class I (exceeded only by Super ICE Atomic Icebreakers), but another arictle i ever read said there were class ICE1A,class ICE1B,class ICE1C and class ICE1A Super in Bureau Veritas ice classifications rules . How to distinguish these classifications? Wish expert's answer. Sorry for my poor english:(

My information is that David Lieu built "Van Triumph" at his own shipyard "Supercraft" in Hongkong (he even designed the boat). 20 Years are a long time, but perhaps he still owns that yard and he is building there a bigger yacht without causing any sensation.

I read that Tiara is for sail for 30.000.00 EUR because the owner is building a bigger sailing yacht at the same yard that built Tiara (Alloy yachts International). Has anybody some information regarding this new yacht he is building? Tiara is one of my favourites...

She was indeed for sale (and for charter) some time before her launch. As far as I am concerned I am not aware of anyother recent contracts signed by Alloy other than the 52 mt Kokomo.

Two Princesses have found their new Princes recently. Princess Marla, 50 mt Feadship has been sold as well as Princess Tanya, 57 mt Austin & Pickersgill, the later to another greek owner, who will probably keep her in the charter market due to her history and potential. Nevertheless, I have seen her in Monaco and she needs a comprehensive refit though after many years of such active service on the charter market.

I'm not sure this will interest anyone but when you mention Princess Tanya I still remember vividly when I - then a teenager - in the early sixties had the opportunity to see this now legendary yacht in Stockholm. She was then brand new being recently built as Radiant II for Mr Basil M Mavroleon. She was my first superyacht!Already at that time I succeded in making some research and learnt that the owner was indeed a British citizen despite his name. If my memory is correct I think I got quite a lot of information directly from the builder Austin & Pickersgill including some copies of the general arrangement plans. Now 40 years later this sounds really like a saga. Imagine one of today's megayacht builders sending a yachtspotter drawings and complete specs of one of their launches!

It is dissapointing then that Liveras has sold Princess Tanya. No more classic only a modern fleet. It makes commercial sense, upkeep is too much for the old vessels but are there not enough clients for the classic yachting.

In one magazine they wrote that Annaliesse is for sale because the fractional owners are building bigger. Any confirmation on that?

Annaliesse doesn't figure in yachtcouncil.com or yachtworld.com databases. Of course she can be up for sale anyway as the market for yachts of this size is limited and it often is enough to let the word go forth in the media. Has anyone searched the broker databases?

You're right, Maarten. I would have found her if I had gone a bit further in my reserach. I wonder why Annaliesse is said to be of British registry though. According to equasis she flies the flag of Malta and Malta has been independent since 1964. Maybe it's a recent change in the registry of Annaliesse not yet recorded.
