Amevi have a fixed pitch propellers!!!!! It is a singular choice!!She have also the new Rolls Royce Aquarius active retractable fins stabiliser system. This system not only reduce rolling dramatically when the yacht is underway, but also when the vessel is stationary.

You mean the Amels Amevi. She has an indian owner so that made sense. I was just thinking about the same name for the Y701 and then also apparently the Rising Sun captain shows up at the build (whilst Mr. Mittal was looking at Rising Sun maybe he just decided to take the captain not buy the yacht? lol). anyway just speculating. If the idea that the Y701 is for a Greek owner comes from the Greek flag on the design then i think that is a poor link because i thought she was sold some time after the concept designs were made and the Greek flag is there just to please the owner of the yard.

Yes this article means the Amels one. But Amevi is a special name, never used for another yacht. So we can imagine that the new oceAnco is for the same owner. Sounds logical...

Yes there is not new infomation yet to dispute the WirtschaftsWoche magazine article which has been quoted all over the place or indeed further info to confirm it. so we can just imagine at the moment another "candidate" for a mittal yacht.

Usually Nuvolari&Lenard publish rendering of yachts that will be really built. If you scroll down you can see all Palmer Johnson and Amevě (Oceanco 80 m/y). Ah..the Captain of Amevě (capt. D. Roberts) is the ex captain of Rising Sun.

The article about Blohm+Voss shows the Atabeyki/Blohm+Voss M-147 project that - as far as I understand - has nothing to do with Blohm+Voss newbuild 971. See your earlier post here 10/21/2006.

Are you referring to the original owner of Alfa IV? Alfa IV is today renamed Aviva II and on the market to be sold due to the recent delivery of the new A&R Aviva.

Yes, that owner. For what I know she has not bought a new one after Alfa IV. Could it be that the Alfa Nero is waiting for a Greek owner? I saw her passing by in Rotterdam from the yard to the dock and I must admit, she is beautiful. I specially like the inegrated swimming pool at the back deck.

I found 2 nice pics of this beauty. This yacht really stole my yachting heart...She is soooooo gorgeous, sorry Amevi, you have competition. It just goes to show what a difference mast design, colour, position of SATCOM domes and slightly different lines and few more cosmetic changes does to a yacht that is essentially very similar to the Amevi but yet so different.http://www.shipspotting.com/mo...62527 http://www.shipspotting.com/mo...62526 Photo credit: Mike Johnson

Speaking of SatCom domes, you will see that they have already made some changes to her look since we first saw pic of this beauty! The large single satcom (ŕ la Octopus's twin domes) on the front part of the superstructure has been switched for a smaller one - I kinda preferred it with the BIG one! big dome: http://powerandmotoryacht.zero...age=2 new smaller dome: http://www.shipspotting.com/mo...62527

I did not even realise that. The large single dome was the original that you can see in the pc generated images on the oceAnco website. I guess in the real, the one Big dome looked to overpowering, mabe that is why they changed it...both versions looks pretty good to me.
